The Arch
Once, when the city of Lethe was little more than a naval dockyward, the bay itself was protected by the heavy fortifications on the Arch of stone that crosses the bay. Now the city is of a more...mercantile nature the fortress was seen as little more than a source of stone to much of the city. What has been left behind is too large, too heavy and cumbersome to be removed.
Abandoned and unused, the cities poorest moved into the ruins of the fortress and the tunnels honeycombing the arch itself. Wooden constructs hang haphazardly from the sides and even underside of the stone, and much of the fortress rooms have been divided into small homes. Many of the ruins have been replached with rickety wooden replacements.
Despite the chaos of the Arch, there is a certain level of order in the area that is enforced by the local community.
